About Lesley

Lesley is a qualified, Accredited Counsellor and has worked since 2000 supporting clients with a professional, genuine, non-judgemental, and caring approach. From time to time, we all need to talk about our feelings and emotions and may struggle to talk to friends or family. We may have difficult life experiences that are holding us back, maybe the loss of a loved one, the breakup of a relationship or family problems. We may be experiencing issues at work, feeling stuck or struggling to find a new direction in life.
Lesley offers clients a safe and confidential space to express their feelings and emotions, without fear of being judged. Lesley works with clients to support them to identify triggers that can cause anxiety or low mood, helping them to learn new thought processes. Lesley supports clients to explore Mindfulness approaches towards external factors that may be affecting them negatively, to improve emotional wellbeing.
Lesley is enthusiastic about supporting clients living with negative self-belief, low confidence or lack of self-esteem. Lesley works therapeutically and passionately to help clients develop the tools and strategies they need to improve their sense of self, how they respond to others and to increase self-awareness and develop assertiveness, making significant, positive changes in all areas of life.
Lesley qualified in 2000 and is registered with the BACP (British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapists) as an Accredited Counsellor and follows their Ethical Framework for Good Practice.
In addition to several years’ experience of working in private practice, Lesley has experience of managing a Student Counselling Service in a Norfolk College, co-ordinating a Counselling Service for parents/carers in children centre settings in London, as well as Solace Women’s Aid and Rape Crisis.
