IBS can affect anyone at any age but it commonly first develops in young adults and teenagers.  IBS is twice as common in women.  The symptoms range from pain and discomfort, bloating, constipation and diarrhoea.  Whilst it is not known why this may occur, stress and anxiety are considered major factors and sufferers of IBS can relate the start of symptoms to a stressful or traumatic event in their life.

The Practice is specifically trained in IBS Gut Specific Hypnotherapy and using relaxation, stress counselling and cognitive behavioural therapy to help reduce your symptoms considerably, prevent the need for ongoing medication and allow you start enjoying your life again.

A study at Manchester University found three-quarters of IBS patients experienced improvement in their symptoms after hypnotherapy, and the effects lasted for five years or more.
